March 1997: Belize and Guatemala

Patti and I signed up for a week in Belize with an adventure travel company from Vancouver, with a side trip to the Mayan ruins at Tikal in Guatemala. We met up with our guides and group in Belize City, and boarded a small boat for a quick cruise down the coast to South Lagoon, where we saw manatees, and spent the night on the lagoon.  Here's the sunrise the next morning.
