The moment I'd been dreading since we arrived in the Galápagos: a horseback ride up Sierra Negra Volcano.  These are the beasts.  Unfortunately I didn't get any photos from the actual ride, being too terrified to let go.  Luckily I seem to have gotten off fairly easily, just a small ACL strain and a one or two compressed vertebrae.  Fellow equestrian John had a much more exciting outing.  First the horse ahead of him pooped on his foot.  Then Patti's horse kicked his, perhaps there's some bad blood there.  Then I looked up to see John and his saddle slowly rotating around the belly of his mount, ending up underneath, awaiting trampling.  Somehow he managed to avoid the stampede and survive, none the worse for wear.
