After a long drive from Fez to Merzouga we reached the edge of the Sahara Desert. From there I took an hour long ride on Sheriff, a friendly and good-natured dromedary (the correct name for a one-hump camel) out into the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset. Patti 4WD'd it out to our (very fancy) tent camp.
