Next we were to meet Jon when he flew into Johannesburg, and fly to nearby Nelspruit for a few days at Margie and Jack Mekler's farm.  Margie is a longtime friend of the Stoddard's, having spent a year with them as an exchange student back in the 1960s.  Then we would join Jon for a few days of game viewing at Nkorho Bush Lodge, at Sabi Sands just outside Kruger National Park, South Africa.  After flying back to Johannesburg, and then on to Cape Town, it was a few days at Jon's house in Franschhoek, in the wine country just north of Cape Town.  And finally we would spend three days in Cape Town itself, before heading back to the USA.  We had scheduled 14 separate airplane flights!
