Tom and Patti Saunders
Dog's Breath Acres 2000 Annual Report
We took a trip down into Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana in April.
We've been trying to get out into the woods to do some hiking, now that the snow's melting in the mountains and the weather's nice. There's been much yard work, and a lot of flowers for the wedding to be taken care of. I built a new deck around the second floor; it's a very relaxing spot and makes the driveway side of the house a whole lot prettier. Kate and Ger have been by for a couple of visits, on their way to and from vacations in Yellowstone and birthday parties in Washington. The big deal in the beginning of July was the Richards R2K Family Reunion in Port Townsend. I was in charge of name badges, and made up a bunch of family photos, letters, and other genealogy stuff. We finally got to meet all the cousins who have moved out to this side of the country, and had a great time.
Right now in July the house is jumping with dogs. Allison's two pooches, Cory and Dingo, are over for a week while she and Mike are off vacationing at Crater Lake. And Patti's going to her parents in Arkansas at the same time, so I'll have my hands full! When Patti gets back the planning for their next vacation will get into full swing: a hiking trip along the Andalucian Coast of Spain in October, with perhaps a stop in Randolph.
